OFCCP ANNOUNCES COMPLIANCE ASSISTANCE TOWN HALLS
If you attended the ILG National Conference in San Antonio August 1-4, you heard OFCCP Leaders, Tom Dowd and Debra Carr, talk about that the Agency’s shift to a renewed focus on “compliance assistance.”
The Agency has already begun to schedule Compliance Assistance Town Hall meetings which are open to the public, but will be of particular interest to human resource managers, equal employment opportunity specialists, chief compliance officers, and other personnel who are directly involved with ensuring their company’s compliance with OFCCP’s requirements. Workers, jobseekers, community groups and anyone interested in the scope of OFCCP’s work are also encouraged to attend.

VETS 4212 REPORTING – HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF
Veterans Employment and Training Services posted the following note to its website.
“In order to accommodate the needs of those impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Federal contractors who file their VETS-4212 Reports by November 15, 2017, will not be cited for failure to file a timely Report or failure to comply with Federal regulations.”
For those companies not impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the deadline remains September 30. Please file early, if possible, as the filing tool slows down in the last week of September due to the volume of reports being filed.
